Grand Council Cryptic Service Medal

The Grand Council Cryptic Service Medal is presented in recognition of an Illustrious Companion whose faithful service, dedication, and commitment to the principles of Royal and Select Masonry have distinguished him among his peers. This prestigious award honors those whose consistent efforts and contributions have strengthened the Alpha Omega Illustrious Grand Council and advanced the work of Cryptic Masonry within the Jurisdiction.

This medal is reserved for Companions whose service reflects not only participation, but meaningful and sustained contributions that demonstrate reliability, devotion, and a deep commitment to the Craft.

Basis for Recognition

This distinction is awarded based on documented, measurable service and performance over a defined period of time. Nominees must clearly demonstrate how their efforts have supported the Council, contributed to its success, and positively impacted the Brethren and the broader community.

Award Criteria

The Grand Council Cryptic Service Medal is based on quantifiable and demonstrated excellence in one or more of the following areas:

• Dedicated Council Service
  Consistent and reliable contributions to the operations, administration, and overall effectiveness of the Council or its constituent bodies.
• Leadership Through Action
  Demonstrated willingness to step forward, support initiatives, and assist in the successful execution of Council programs and activities.
• Support to the Craft
  Active involvement in advancing the mission, values, and visibility of Royal and Select Masonry.
• Commitment to Excellence
  Sustained performance that reflects attention to detail, dependability, and a high standard of execution.
• Fraternal Engagement
  Positive influence on the Brethren through participation, encouragement, and fostering unity within the Council.
• Other Distinguished Service
  Noteworthy contributions that may not fall within the above categories but clearly merit recognition.

Masonic Alignment

Nominees must exemplify the core values of Masonry through both their service and conduct. This includes demonstrated adherence to:

Each nominee’s actions must reflect credit upon the Craft and uphold the traditions and teachings of Cryptic Masonry.

Nomination Requirements

Nominations for the Grand Council Cryptic Service Medal must include:
