Gold Ninth Arch Service Award

The Gold Ninth Arch Service Award is presented in recognition of an Illustrious Companion whose service, dedication, and commitment to the Craft have demonstrated excellence across all areas of Council engagement and operations. This distinguished honor recognizes a Companion whose sustained contributions have significantly strengthened the Alpha Omega Illustrious Grand Council and its constituent Councils.

This award is reserved for those whose service reflects a deep devotion to the principles of Royal and Select Masonry and whose actions exemplify selfless commitment, reliability, and unwavering support to the Brethren and the Craft.

 Basis for Recognition

This distinction is awarded based on documented, measurable performance over a defined period of time, highlighting sustained service, consistent contributions, and meaningful impact. Nominees must clearly demonstrate how their efforts have supported the mission of the Council, enhanced operations, and positively influenced both the Brethren and the community.

Award Criteria

The Gold Ninth Arch Service Award is based on quantifiable and demonstrated excellence in one or more of the following areas:

  • Exceptional Council Service
    Consistent and impactful contributions to the operations, administration, and effectiveness of the Council or its constituent bodies.
  • Leadership & Mentorship
    Demonstrated ability to guide, support, and develop fellow Companions while contributing to a culture of growth and excellence.
  • Community or Charitable Service
    Active and meaningful involvement in charitable or community initiatives that reflect positively on the Craft.
  • Innovation & Initiative
    Introduction or execution of initiatives that improve processes, enhance engagement, or strengthen Council operations.
  • Sustained Outstanding Performance
    Long-term, consistent service resulting in measurable and meaningful outcomes that benefit the Council and its members.
  • Other Distinguished Service
    Notable contributions that may not fall within the above categories but clearly warrant recognition.

Masonic Alignment

Nominees must exemplify the core values of Masonry through their service and conduct. This includes demonstrated adherence to:

  • Integrity
  • Charity
  • Brotherly Love
  • Service
  • Moral Leadership

Each nominee’s actions must reflect positively upon the Craft and demonstrate a commitment to its enduring principles.

Nomination Requirements

All nominations must be submitted using the official Gold Ninth Arch Service Award Individual Performance Nomination Form and must include:

  • Complete nominee and nominator information
  • Selection of the applicable award category
  • A detailed description of achievements, including specific examples and measurable impact
  • Clear alignment with Masonic principles
  • Defined timeframe of service
  • Supporting documentation, such as letters of support, project summaries, or service records (if applicable)

Incomplete or unsupported nominations may not be considered.

Standard of Service

The Gold Ninth Arch Service Award represents the highest standard of dedicated service within the Grand Council. Recipients of this award embody the spirit of faithful labor, quiet strength, and unwavering commitment to the Craft. Through their consistent and selfless efforts, they uphold the traditions of Royal and Select Masonry and set the example for all Companions to follow.
