High Priest of the Year Award
The High Priest of the Year Award is presented in recognition of a High Priest whose leadership, diligence, and service have distinguished their Chapter and advanced the mission of the Terrell D. Hicklin Grand Chapter during the Masonic year. This award honors a Companion who exemplifies excellence in governance, ritual leadership, member engagement, and faithful stewardship of the office of High Priest.
Recipients of this award demonstrate measurable leadership outcomes that reflect both the effectiveness and impact of their service. Quantifiable criteria considered for this recognition include, but are not limited to:

- Chapter Engagement: Documented increase in average Chapter attendance or participation in convocations and official activities during the term of office.
- Membership Growth and Retention: Net increase in membership, successful exaltations, or improved retention of Companions through active engagement and mentorship.
- Ritual and Masonic Education: Completion of required rituals with proficiency and accuracy, and delivery or facilitation of structured Masonic education programs or presentations.
- Administrative Excellence: Timely submission of reports, dues, and required documentation to the Grand Chapter, with no compliance deficiencies.
- Support of Grand Chapter Initiatives: Active participation in Grand Chapter convocations, district meetings, and jurisdictional programs, including documented Chapter involvement.
- Leadership and Stewardship: Effective management of Chapter officers, committees, and resources, demonstrating accountability, transparency, and sound judgment.
The High Priest of the Year Award recognizes a Companion whose leadership produces tangible results while embodying the highest ideals of Royal Arch Masonry. This distinction honors not only personal achievement, but the lasting positive impact made upon the Chapter, its Companions, and the Grand Chapter as a whole.
