Commandery of the Year Award
⚔️ The Commandery of the Year Award is presented in recognition of a Constituent Commandery whose collective efforts, leadership, and performance have demonstrated excellence across all areas of Commandery operations. This award honors a Commandery that has achieved measurable success while faithfully advancing the mission, standards, and values of the W.E.B. DuBois Grand Commandery.
This distinction is awarded based on documented, quantifiable performance during the year, including:
- Regular and consistent Commandery activity, evidenced by the successful conduct of scheduled Conclaves with documented attendance.
- Full compliance with Grand Commandery administrative and financial requirements, including confirmation that 100 percent of reports, returns, and fees were submitted accurately and on time.
- Demonstrated growth or retention of membership, reflected by a measurable increase in membership or sustained retention of existing Sir Knights.
- Delivery of structured Chivalric and Masonic education through a minimum of three documented educational sessions, lectures, or workshops during the year.
- Successful execution of Orders and ceremonial work, with completion of planned conferrals and demonstrated ritual proficiency.
- Active participation in Grand Commandery, District, or Jurisdictional events, with Commandery representation at no less than 75 percent of official functions.
- Meaningful engagement in charitable, community, or outreach activities, supported by verifiable participation and measurable outcomes.
The Commandery of the Year Award recognizes Commanderies that operate with unity, discipline, and purpose. Recipients exemplify organizational excellence, teamwork, and a steadfast commitment to continuous improvement, serving as a model for other Commanderies and strengthening the foundation of Chivalric Masonry throughout the Jurisdiction.
